Style Guide

We’ve developed a style guide to assist you with  the most common spelling, capitalization, usage, and reference conventions used in Contingent Horizons. You’ll find an alphabetical listing of the most common concerns, along with useful examples, in this downloadable pdf: Contingent Horizons Style Guide.

For questions unanswered by our style guide, please refer to either of the style manuals we used in developing our guide: the Chicago Manual of Style and Editing Canadian English. Additionally, the Oxford Canadian Dictionary is our ultimate guide to spelling, while our models for citation and reference draw heavily from the American Anthropological Association Style Guide.

While submissions accepted for publication will be copy edited for style by our editorial collective, we appreciate receiving final articles that are as publication-ready as possible.
