Contingent Horizons: The York University Student Journal of Anthropology aims to provide a platform for students of anthropology seeking to publish their outstanding scholarly work in a peer-reviewed academic forum. We are currently recruiting both undergraduate and graduate students who are willing to contribute to this process between November 2015 – March 2016. Each peer reviewer will be asked to provide detailed and constructive feedback about the content of a maximum of 1-2 submissions.
Peer Reviewing Roles and Responsibilities
As a peer reviewer, you will be contributing to the editorial process. This involves providing authors with anonymized critique in order to help them improve the substantive content of their articles. Additionally, peer reviewers help ensure that the work is original and that it is of relevance to anthropology.
Peer Reviewers will be sent a form to guide the process of providing feedback and responding to issues within the papers. Should an article be selected for publication, please keep in mind that you will be asked to provide comments on the edited versions of the submissions.
If you are interested in reviewing for our third volume, please e-mail email@example.com with the subject line “PEER REVIEW”. Please include your year of study and, if applicable, area of interest/research. To see our previous volumes please visit: www.contingenthorizons.com.
