Call for Applications: Undergraduate Student Editor

Contingent Horizons would like to invite applications from undergraduate students at York University interested in serving as an Editor on the journal’s three-member Editorial Collective.

The Undergraduate Student Editor is responsible for assisting the two Graduate Student Editors in soliciting contributions to the journal, facilitating the peer review process, supporting student authors through the publication process, copy-editing, and issue publication, as well as general communication and website management.

The Undergraduate Student Editor will benefit from the mentorship of the Graduate Student Editors on the Collective as well as the journal’s Faculty Advisor. This is a volunteer position that will benefit undergraduate students interested in pursuing graduate studies or careers in academia, research, writing, and teaching. Upper-year students who are pursuing an honours or major in anthropology are encouraged to apply.

Interested students may apply by submitting a brief statement of interest (approximately 150-300 words), a CV, and a writing sample (e.g. course paper) via email to the Editorial Collective at by Monday September 17th, 2018.
